Marathon and Aleph One

Remember the old days? Remember Marathon? The game that would place Bungie on the map with the Mac and made them the icon company of Macintosh gaming?

Yeah, that Marathon. Not the game show.

So, recently I’ve been having these memories rise back to the surfac. I absolutely LOVED Marathon when I was younger, not to mention, adored Forge. And, the Pfhor scared the crap outta me.

Now, I wanted to start playing the marathon trilogy again, you know, for old time’s sake. I looked up ways to download it. I found it freeware, too. Thing is, I gotta get this thing called “Aleph One – The Marathon Source code”

Wanna know what I think of it? Installing it is a nightmare, I have to download about a dozen cajiggas to get it to work. Not to mention, I barely got a few steps of the freaking installation.

WHY CANT WE HAVE IT AS A SIMPLE .EXE FILE JUST TO CLICK AND PLAY!?

…I want my Marathon…
